If hill walking is your thing, it’s literally on your doorstep. Within 5 minutes you’ll be walking free in breathtaking scenery in which you’ll see a huge variety of wildlife and birdwatching opportunities.
If you prefer to up-the-pace, we have running routes from beginner right up to tracks pounded by top British Olympic athletes.
The Tweed Valley Railway Path offers relaxing cycling along the picturesque Tweed Valley. And if you’re looking for something even more exhilarating try the 7stanes, Glentress & Innerleithen mountain biking trails. It’s simply a mountain biking Mecca where you can experience Green, Blue, Red or Black graded trails.
And if that doesn’t deliver a big enough adrenaline buzz then try Innerleithen’s famous Red Bull down-hill and cross-country trails. Come and experience for yourself. You won’t be disappointed and we’ll make sure you have the best biker-friendly accommodation.
Fishing or Golfing? Scotland is renowned for both. Its salmon and trout fishing in stunning locations. The beauty of your natural surroundings as you unwind will leave you speechless. West Linton has it’s own golf course which is simply a must if golf is your thing. And within an hour’s drive you’ll be amazed at how many amazing golf course there are. One week’s holiday may not be long enough.
West Linton’s Scottish hospitality; from the local Tea Room, to The Gordon Arms to The Bakehouse, there is something for everyone. Within a couple of minutes walk you’ll have access to a great range of scrumpious food, locally brewed beers and a wide range of scotch malt whisky. Your hunger and thirst is well taken care of.
